CENSORSHIP
Series “CENSURE (CENSORSHIP)” comprises 6 books produced in transparent Plexiglas with laser printing. Each book has been censored in whole or in part, in some countries or at some time. The QR codes open onto sound creations that place the work in context and reveal some censored extracts.

“Wild Swans” is the autobiography of Jung Chang, a Chinese woman who fell victim to the People’s Revolution. She leaves China for England. The book is still censored in China in 2016.
“The Satanic Verses” was written by Salman Rushdie, born in Bombay of Muslim parents. He emigrated to the UK at the age of 13. Although it won an award in England, the book triggered the wrath of the Muslim kingdom.
